Farouk Kaspaules

Farouk Kaspaules graduated in 1987 with a bfa, Honours, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Ottawa. In 1988 he graduated from the same university with a second Bachelor’s degree of Fine Arts in Art History and Theory, also with Honours.
Farouk Kaspaules is an Iraqi-born Canadian artist who has been exhibiting since 1989. The events shaping the political and social situation in the Middle East have strongly influenced his work. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally, at the 9th Cairo International Bienniale; Townhouse Gallery, Washington, d.c.; Munze Museum, Pontiac, Michigan; the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, among others. He has also been the recipient of numerous grants over the years.
Kaspaules lives and works in Ottawa, Canada.
