Directions
Four Walls is an interdisciplinary arts organization which supports the development of innovative visual, performance, new media, and literary art. We showcase experimental, historical, and educational presentations of aesthetic and social issues in work that challenges the boundaries of conventional art practice while encouraging a wide spectrum of dialog between artists and audiences.
Programming
In its exhibitions of local and international work of exceptional caliber, Four Walls assists emerging artists in their development; empowers communities through outreach and interactions; and commissions culturally relevant public work.
History
Four Walls originated in 2002 from the need for a local venue to show underrepresented visual artists. The organization expanded its focus in 2006 to premier conceptual, performance, and digital work and publications.
